First Annual JuJu Fest

We’re thrilled to be a part of the first annual JuJu Fest during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival! We’ll be playing alongside our brothers Toubab Krewe, Raja Kassis’s humanBEING, and Pirate’s Choice. Be sure to check out the full schedule below and come see this amazing family of artists!

Highlights from the last month…

Benyoro had quite an interesting month. In mid-November we played at the Bear Creek Music and Art Festival and had a blast! We also participated in the first Mandé SuperJam organized by our djembe player Luke Quaranta. The set featured members of Toubab Krewe and Kreative Pandemonium as well as special guests Balla Kouyaté and Raja Kassis. A true meeting of the minds…check out a video here!

We also had the honor of playing for a holiday party thrown by our good friends Afropop Worldwide. We had a blast! If you couldn’t be there, you can still read their recap here and contribute to support some amazing music journalism.

Stay tuned for 2015 tour dates coming soon!

Benyoro Album Release Party June 28th at Meridian 23!

We’re super excited to be releasing our debut album on July 8th, so we’re celebrating a little early at Meridian 23! It’s going to be an amazing night of music, with our good friends No Small Money Brass Band bringing their ebullient, brass-heavy highlife to the party.

This will also be the ONLY opportunity to buy a physical copy of our debut album prior to the release! And if CDs seem a little passé to you, we’re also offering a FREE digital download of the album to the first 20 people who buy tickets in advance!

E-mail benyoromusic (at) for tickets.
